Strong M&A Leadership, People Skills, and Synergies Experience
As CFO of Recall, I had a close relationship with Owen in his role as President of Recall ANZ. During that time Owen and his team successfully completed due diligence, acquired, and merged five businesses that all out delivered the estimated timelines, costs, and delivery of synergies.
Owen’s strong leadership, people skills, prior mergers and acquisitions experience, and execution of a disciplined M&A process were key success factors, particularly during the challenging post merger integration phase. Owen's ability to clearly communicate and explain merger activity to both the teams within the business being acquired as well as his existing business eased these transitions. Owen’s toolkit of M&A processes meant we could follow a systematic approach to business integration that was also readily adaptable as required for specific circumstances. We employed many of these processes across the rest of the Recall Group globally.
Owen was also skilled in effectively communicating to me, the Group CEO, and the Board in regard to all aspects of the M&A process. This instilled a high level of confidence and trust that he and his team could and indeed did consistently deliver on their commitments.
